Blueberry Protein Smoothie

This high protein Blueberry Protein Smoothie is a delicious and nourishing breakfast or post-workout drink. Packed with protein from vanilla whey, natural sweetness from banana, and antioxidant-rich blueberries, it is creamy, energising and quick to prepare. Ideal for busy mornings or refuelling after exercise, this smoothie provides a balanced blend of protein, carbs and healthy fats.

70 g Frozen blueberries
1 small Frozen banana
150 ml Semi skimmed milk
1 tbsp Almond butter
30 g Vanilla protein powder

Step 1

Place the frozen blueberries and banana into a high-speed blender. Add the scoop of vanilla whey protein, almond butter and milk. Blend on high speed until smooth and creamy. Taste and adjust the consistency with a splash more milk if required. Pour into a glass and serve immediately.

Recipe Notes
  • This smoothie is designed for a single serving but can be doubled easily. Using a frozen banana adds natural sweetness and a creamy texture without the need for additional sugar. For a vegan version, swap whey protein for a plant-based alternative and use almond or oat milk. 
  • We used Optimum Nutrition whey (not sponsored just like the flavour). 

Cooking Tips
  • Ensure the banana is frozen for a thick and creamy texture. Blend on high speed for at least 30 seconds to ensure the protein powder is fully incorporated. Adjust milk quantity to achieve the desired thickness, especially if using different plant-based milks.
