Choco Orange Tofu Mousse

This chocolate orange tofu mousse is a creamy, protein based dessert or snack that’s quick and easy to make. Silken tofu blended with Lindt chocolate orange, cocoa, honey and a hint of orange essence creates a smooth, indulgent treat that’s lighter than traditional mousse.

300 g Clearspring silken tofu
100 g Lindt orange chocolate
2 tsp Orange essence
2 tbsp Honey
2 tsp Cocoa powder

Step 1

Break up the chocolate and place in a glass bowl. Fill 1/4 of a pan with water and boil. Once the water is hot turn down to simmering and place bowl of chocolate on top so you can melt it.

Step 2

Drain the silken tofu thoroughly and place in a blender or food processor.

Step 3

Add the melted chocolate orange, cocoa powder, orange essence, and honey.

Step 4

Blend on high speed until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed.

Step 5

Taste and adjust sweetness or orange flavour as desired.

Step 6

Spoon the mousse into 6 small glasses or pots and chill in the fridge for at overnight before serving for a firmer texture.

Recipe Notes
  • For a richer flavour, use dark chocolate orange or add an extra teaspoon of cocoa. Can be garnished with grated chocolate, orange zest or a dollop of yogurt.

Cooking Tips
  • Blend until completely smooth for a mousse-like texture. Chill before serving to allow it to set slightly.

Storage Instructions
  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. Stir gently before serving if needed.
